Provide a finished bag or other visual indicator such as a waiting disc to support children in understanding that their time on the tablet device has ended.
Finished bag: a black-and-white chequered bag that indicates to children that an activity is over and it is time to move on. These bags, waiting cards/discs and timers are widely available from educational suppliers.

Consider ways to protect your tablet devices so that the children can move them safely around your room. Using robust covers will also allow the children to use the devices in a variety of play spaces.
