Critical reflection

Reflect on the question ‘How we can use ELLA to develop partnerships with families?’

  1. Print the Reflect on family engagement poster. 
  2. Display it in a prominent place at your preschool or school.
  3. Use the poster to begin conversations about how you engage with families and the community. Take note of these interactions and keep them as evidence for your Quality Improvement Plan or school reporting.
  4. Families come from a range of backgrounds and have had a range of experiences. Can you use a variety of strategies to encourage their input in the ELLA program?
  5. Are there any resources you could share with families related to the ELLA program?
