Things I can do in Korean
App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom
I have been learning Korean using The Polyglots apps
Here are some of the things I have discovered in App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom:
This is a table that educators can use to share children's learnings with their families. It is a list of "I can…" statements. Each "I can…" statement has a scale that allows the educator to record how the child is progressing with App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom.
The scale has three labels:
- Doing sometimes with assistance
- Beginning to do independently
- Regularly doing confidently
The first line states:
- I can sing the ‘Hello’ song in Korean
The second line states:
- I can say some simple greetings in Korean. For example:
- 안녕!
Annyeong!
Hello! - 다음에 만나!
Da-eum-e manna!
See you later! - 여보세요!
Yeoboseyo!
Hello! (on the phone)
The third line states:
- I can introduce myself in Korean. For example:
- 내 이름은 (name) 이야.
Nae ireum-eun (name)-iya
My name is (name). [for names ending in a consonant, eg Alex] - 내 이름은 (name) 야.
Nae ireum-eun (name)-ya.
My name is (name). [for names ending in a vowel, eg Anna]
My favourite Polyglots character in App 1 is:
