Pizza activity
Description
Page 1: a picture of a pizza with tomato sauce on the base and covered with different toppings
Suggestions
- Collage: Have the children decorate the pizza base with the ingredients.
- Count and sort: Children count and sort the ingredient cards, practising the chosen language.
- Recipe cards: Children paste the ingredients onto a card to make a ‘recipe card’. They can specify the number of each ingredient by writing a number against each one, or pasting multiples of the desired ingredient onto the card.
- Social play: Laminate the pizza base and ingredients to add to your home corner for imaginative play to support the ‘Pizza shop’ learning experience.
- Group game: Lay the ingredient cards face down. Children take turns to turn the cards face up, and name the ingredients in the chosen language as they add them to the pizza base.
