Things I can do in Japanese
App 4: The Polyglots at the Zoo
I have been learning Japanese using The Polyglots apps
Here are some of the things I have discovered in App 4: The Polyglots at the Zoo:
This is a table that educators can use to share children's learnings with their families. It is a list of "I can…" statements. Each "I can…" statement has a scale that allows the educator to record how the child is progressing with App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom.
The scale has three labels:
- Doing sometimes with assistance
- Beginning to do independently
- Regularly doing confidently
The first line states:
- I can name some fruits in Japanese. For example:
Ichigo Strawberry
The second line states:
- I can say I’m hungry/thirsty in Japanese. For example:
Onaka ga suita. I’m hungry! Nodo ga kawaita. I'm thirsty!
The third line states:
- I can say thank you in Japanese
Arigatou Thank you
The fourth line states:
- I can make simple requests in Japanese. For example:
Juusu o kudasai. Can I please have some juice?
Here are some pictures of some of the new words I learnt in this app:
