I have been learning Hindi using The Polyglots apps
Here are some of the things I have discovered in App 5: The Polyglots at the Circus:
This is a table that educators can use to share children's learnings with their families. It is a list of "I can…" statements. Each "I can…" statement has a scale that allows the educator to record how the child is progressing with App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom.
The scale has three labels:
- Doing sometimes with assistance
- Beginning to do independently
- Regularly doing confidently
The first line states:
- I can name some body parts in Hindi. For example:
सिर sir Head बाँह bāṆh' Arm टाँग ṭāṆg Leg पैर pa̅īr Foot
The second line states:
- I can say some parts of the face in Hindi. For example:
आँख āṆkh Eye कान kān Ear मुँह muṆh Mouth नाक nāk Nose
The third line states:
- I can say something hurts in Hindi. For example:
मेरेसिर में दर्द है! mere sir meṅ dard ha̅ī! Oh! My head hurts!
The fourth line states:
- I can use some adjectives in Hindi. For example:
छोटा chhotā Big बड़ा baṛā Small
