App 2: The Polyglots at the Beach

I have been learning Hindi using The Polyglots apps

Here are some of the things I have discovered in App 2: The Polyglots at the Beach:

This is a table that educators can use to share children's learnings with their families. It is a list of "I can…" statements. Each "I can…" statement has a scale that allows the educator to record how the child is progressing with App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom.

The scale has three labels:

• Doing sometimes with assistance
• Beginning to do independently
• Regularly doing confidently

The first line states:

• I can name some colours in Hindi. For example:

  नीला	nīlā	Blue
  हरा	harā	Green
  नारंगी	nāraṅgī	Orange
  गुलाबी	gulābī	Pink
  लाल	lāl	Red
  पीला	pīlā	Yellow

The second line states:

• I can express some likes and dislikes in Hindi. For example

  मुझे लाल रंग पसंद है!	mujhe lāl raṅg pasaṅd ha̅ī!	I like red!
  मुझे पीला रंग पसंद नहीं है!	mujhe pīlā raṅg pasaṅd nahīṅ ha̅ī!	I don’t like yellow!
