How to make the Polylgots puppets
Paper puppets
- Print the puppet template onto A4 paper.
- Place the printed page on top of another piece of A4 paper.
- Cut along the solid line of the puppet template.
- Staple along the dotted line.
Alternatively, you can cut out the puppet image and paste it onto a paper bag.

Cloth puppets
- Purchase iron-on transfer paper. This is available from Officeworks, Spotlight, Lincraft, Arthouse Direct and other craft supply shops.
- Print the image onto the transfer paper using an inkjet printer or copier.
- Iron the printed images onto fabric. Fabrics such as cotton drill, calico or broadcloth work best.
- Cut along the solid line.
- Lay the piece of fabric with the printed image face down on another piece of the fabric.
- Sew along the dotted line or a 1-cm seam allowance. Turn and press. Hem the open edge if desired.
